Proper Chemical Addition and Check Valve Installation to Protect Heat Pump
Learn how to correctly add chemicals and install a check valve to protect your Thermotec heat pump from corrosion.
When adding chemicals such as chlorine or pH adjusters, always introduce them downstream of the heat pump to prevent corrosion of the heat exchanger. Install a check valve in the chemical conduit to prevent backflow when water circulation stops. Failure to follow these steps can lead to damage and void the warranty.
