Winterizing and Maintenance Tips for the Aquaspeed Pump
Guidance on protecting and maintaining the Aquaspeed pump during winter and routine care.
To protect your Aquaspeed pump during freezing conditions, it is recommended to drain the pump completely if it will not be used over winter. Use the provided drain plug to empty the pump and store the plug safely, for example inside the hair and lint pot basket. If possible, remove the pump and store it in a dry location. Before reactivating the pump, inspect all seals and o-rings for damage, re-grease them with silicone-based grease if necessary, and ensure the motor shaft moves freely. Regular maintenance includes cleaning the strainer basket by removing debris and rinsing with clean water, inspecting and lubricating the lid gasket, and re-priming the hair and lint pot bowl before restarting the pump. These steps help maintain pump efficiency and prevent damage.
